On December 16, Genertec Group released a notice titled Commendation for Meheco CNIC and the Electronic Information Division for Their Contributions to the Construction and Commissioning of the Ocean Drilling Vessel 'Dream.' This notice recognizes the outstanding contributions made by Meheco CNIC and the Electronic Information Division to the project.

"Dream," a key technological innovation initiative endorsed by the CPC Central Committee, represents a critical national asset for deep-sea exploration. This vessel is designed to undertake vital national strategic missions, including ocean scientific drilling, deep-sea oil and gas exploration, and preliminary assessments of natural gas hydrates. It is poised to fulfill humanity's ambitions of "penetrating the Earth's crust and entering the upper mantle" and "developing deep Earth resources," thereby significantly enhancing China’s capabilities in deep-sea access, exploration, and development. This initiative will provide robust support for accelerating China’s maritime power ambitions and improving energy independence.

In 2021, CNIC was commissioned by the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey, which operates under the direct supervision of the China Geological Survey, Ministry of Natural Resources, to assist in the construction of the "Dream" vessel. With years of extensive experience in geophysical exploration, CNIC effectively leveraged its strengths and fulfilled its mission as a central state-owned enterprise. Despite navigating complex challenges, the company actively engaged its grassroots Party branch as a stronghold, showcasing the exemplary role of Party members. Their involvement encompassed all critical stages, including contract negotiations, contract performance, payments, equipment shipping, tax exemption applications, and on-site acceptance inspections related to the ocean drilling vessel project. With a commendable sense of political responsibility, heightened awareness of their mission, and exceptional professional capability, they provided comprehensive services, completing over 80 delivery batches and collaborating with several participating entities on more than a hundred equipment registration approvals—making a significant contribution to the successful construction of the "Dream" vessel.
